Recently, my wife asked me what my dream job was. I answered music writer, and it wasn’t until a few days later that I realized that I don’t have to have a music writing gig to write about music. So with her help, I started this blog. I’m still figuring out exactly what direction I want to take the blog, but for now, I am going to write about artists and albums that I find interesting. I want to try to not be so removed and objective about the music I’m writing about. I really enjoyed ?uestlove’s autobiography Mo’ Meta Blues because he wrote about his personal connections to different albums. I’m not a relatively well known musician like ?uestlove, but I think writing about music more personally could add a dimension that’s missing in a lot of music reviews. Anyways, I appreciate the time you, the reader, are taking to scope out this blog. Any constructive feedback is welcomed and needed.
